Re: First Time Flying - Where?

My first was to Durban. Long haul with a stop over in Nairobi.
I think that was around 1970.

My first flight was to Jersey - just a short hop really. First long haul (12 hours) was to India. Most exciting was up in a Tiger Moth!

My dear wife is from Georgia. Gatwick to Atlanta is a nine hour boring flight. London to Taipei is another I did a few times.

I flew over the Grand Canyon in a light aircraft...…….ooooooooh my giddy aunts, whilst the views were fantastic I had to say I was glad when my feet were firmly back on the ground. It was something that had to be done though!

When we landed we had our photo taken with the captain and my face is as white as a ghosts lol.

Re: First Time Flying - Where?

Went to Malta for my first honeymoon.
We went through a storm.

I have no interested in going abroad now though.
I would be happy just going to a quiet bit of coast in our own country.
I always intended to retire to the coast, but not likely to happen now.
