It's a crate of small iron cattle, the one "behind" is actually on top, presumably to show what they look like.
This is the sort of wierd stuff you find in reclamation yards here

I dunno. I think Wells Reclamation have a website, it might say on there. They have loads of weird stuff, don't mind you taking photos either. Outside the gate is a huge horse and a "Thinker" statue painted like David Bowie (Ziggy). It's one of my favourite places. They have missiles, tanks all sorts of junk

Iron cattle! That's a relief! I too thought they all looked dead!
I googled them.... the cast iron cows are £38.

You see this is one of those times I think I have slipped into a parallel Universe
