Re: Dacia Duster.

Hi Judd,
I was really sceptical when my wife said she wanted to buy a Duster and it wasn't until I test drove them that I dropped my resistance to buying one. If you've got the time go and test drive one. I bet you'll like it.

All in all it looks to be a reasonable choice.

We thought long and hard about it Mate and I spent hours on the internet searching out information. It's still early days and I've only seen one on the road. My wife has wanted a Duster for the last I don't know how many years. She basically left the decision in the end to me after she had selected the packet she wanted We'll see how it all goes.

Re: Dacia Duster.

Kev.

Would be interesting to get a price comparison for a Dacia. The Prestige TCe version (petrol) is around £14000 here in Blighty, the equivalent Euro price when converted is around €16000 at current exchange rates but is that the real price in Germany or is it a case of rip-off Britain again?

Re: Dacia Duster.

Hi Judd
The basic model here is €16,000 before sales tax. I'm a member of a forum here for the new Duster and it seems that most are paying €20,000 to €21000 for a Prestige with the complete set of bells and whistles. We were just under €19,000 for the Comfort package.

Be sure and give us (me ) your assessment when you buy the car Kev - I'm considering one as my Kia will be four years old this year and I like to replace my cars every four years, pocket allowing.

I certainly will Judd. We are really looking forward to driving the new Duster. It's still going to be a while though.

Re: Dacia Duster.

Our Duster goes into production today so I guess it's a countdown from here. I've heard it takes two or three days to build one but it can take a month to be delivered.

They're built in Rumania. I think Dacia were a bit shocked and overwhelmed by the demand for the new Duster. When we ordered ours, one car salesman told us that he'd had days when the only car people were interested in was the Duster and they also sold Renault and Hyundai. At the moment in Germany you can't order one.
