Re: Changing Car - Kia?

I liked my Suzuki Vitara, wish I still had it.
My Toyota Yaris is brilliant but I'm not sure what the bigger Toyotas are like.
My daughter has a VW big 4x4 she doesn't like it, prefered her Suzuki Jiminy. She had a Kia something or other as a courtesy car once and said it was rubbish.

Re: Changing Car - Kia?

We hired a quashqai last year and it was absolutely brilliant and I would have had one but it was too big for my wife to get a comfortable driving position, strangely though Nissan have slipped in the reliability scores,

Re: Changing Car - Kia?

I've had my Kia Sportage for just under four years and it's been a good reliable car, comfy and economical. The only problem I've had with it is one of the suspension arms got damaged no doubt because of the hundreds of potholes and speed bumps littering up the roads.

The repair was done at the dealer's I bought it from, they specialise in Kia's and nothing else and they have a great reputation hence me buying it from them in the first place. The repair was covered by the seven-year warranty no questions asked.

shouldn't happen with a car built for off road work, show poor metals they use

It's not designed for off-road use. If I wanted a 4 x 4 I would have settled for another Vitara like I had a few years ago but the fuel consumption was poor.

Re: Changing Car - Kia?

I have a Kia Sportage and I have to say it has been wonderful - probably the best car I have ever had in the 50 years I have been driving. I've had it for two years without even the tiniest problem. The Kia dealer has excellent customer service.
Before getting the KIA, I test drove a Qashqai and I have to say I hated it with a passion. Compared with the Sportage the cabin felt very confined and claustrophobic - I couldn't wait to get out of it. I did like the Qashqai's big brother, the X Trail, but the Nissan customer service was awful so we went with the Kia and haven't regretted it at all.
Since I got my Kia, several friends who have driven with me have changed to Kia as well and they are all very happy with their vehicles.

Re: Changing Car - Kia?

I had the Sorento and it had so many faults I got rid of it in the end, 3 dealers refused to do a complete rewire and the cables underneath had rotted even under warranty and they also refused to exhange it for another

800 miles and the discs warped??? i ask you how good is that, and I asked other owners and they had the same problem

I went out with a brunette girl many years ago. It didn't end well but it didn't stop me going out with other brunettes later. It doesn't mean all brunettes are bad, just some. I married one and we were very happy together.

Toyota, Lexus, Nissan and Honda are the most reliable cars......go for one of those according to your wallet and preferences. Had three Toyota Hybrids, cheap to run and ultra reliable.

Re: Changing Car - Kia?

Toyota and Lexus are the same, Nissan are basically renaults, and aren’t as reliable as they used to be, with many owners reporting electrical problems,
