Your probably just on the cusp of switching to petrol, dpfs WILL cause problems with lowish mileage, expect a bill for anything up to £1000 if your dpf has to be replaced

Re: Where do you fill up

I think you don’t really notice the difference in cheap petrol but diesel can be another kettle of fish

If anyone knows Belfast there’s a very long steep hill coming out of it, never had I had any bother coming out of it in 6th till one day I had the foot to the floor and still I was losing it and needed to come up in 4th. Took the car straight into BMW and the only thing they could come up with was dirty fuel

I had put £20 in at a local for the journey

Never had a problem with the car after that filling it at BP

I'd recommend a Golf. Ours is a beautiful drive, but I wouldn't recommend paying extra for the SE NAV trim. SE is just as good. Of course, you might be a boy racer and want a GT!

Re: Where do you fill up

Because of the way the local one-way system is arranged, I almost always go to one garage
I thought it was Tesco, but when I tried to use a Tesco voucher as part of the payment I was told that although the premises, and the associated shop are Tesco the petrol is not, so I couldn't use it. No idea what brand the petrol actually is, but it works well enough

When I'm on a longer journey I just use whatever garage I'm passing

I usually fill up completely and pay by debit card, then let it run down till I need to top it up again
