I will be honest with you LD I am rather baffled by the title of the thread.
Correct me if I am wrong but I am presuming its music played on tv series and movies that was the target which is why I selected those two.
I see some one favours Sons Of Anarchy I have played quite a few of them in the past and of course the theme tune to Outlander another series I love watching as well.
Never been a Peaky Blinder watcher although my daughter as tried to get me to watch more than the first 2 episodes but I just find it so bloody boring like there is something missing in it.
Poldark I remember as a youngster watching bits of that but in my defence in 1975 I may well have had a few ladies on the go so I had more important things to concentrate on than tv.
Plus in those days as you know music was not really played to grab your attention.
Anyways if I am right I will continue to post on here because there are so many great tunes from movies that I would like to hear again.
Here's a couple of greats.
Yes that's exactly it. I said boxsets although I would prefer to call them series but yeah, films anything really. The idea came from 'The Affair 'theme tune which I was hearing every week on TV and got to know the words. Sometimes these things take a while to grow on us.
As for Peaky Blinders, I know exactly what you mean. I only watched it because it was free on iplayer. After watching the first few , like you and others, I thought there was something missing but there are some good characters that appear later on and by the end of it, I was eager to see the next series (out next year).
Apart from the theme tunes, there are also so memorable scenes in certain series or films such as 'Only you' in Fringe where the director hits on just the right tune for the scene.
