He was trying to protect his peacock,gumbud,he must have known the consequences,I know goanna carry a lethal bacteria in their saliva,don't they?
He was lucky,the consequences could have been a lot worse,....wild animals are just that,"wild"...posing with anything that is wild,can be lethal,they do the same in the UK,..
Peacocks like silly selfie takers are not indigenous to Australia .
Have I misread the post?..I'm not sure what you mean,I wasn't talking about peacocks not being indigenous to Australia,..the guy was protecting his peacock wasn't he?
He got bitten because he held it up for a selfie .
Monitors like most lizards tend to run away if they can .
My point is that the monitor lizard is an indigenous species .
Ie it was there before the peacocks selfie takers .
The bloke only has himself to blame .
Ah!..ok,..he deserved it then!...I thought the lizard was attacking the peacock,..bit silly trying to take a selfie with a goanna,..I also didn't know,that they try and run away.
