That's a fair summary although I suspect somebody will disagree.
But why has nobody pointed out what I posted when it is readily available?
Why isn't more made of the good news and yet so much made of supposedly bad news, even when it is proven either completely wrong or a (deliberate) misinterpretation?
Today for example in with the headlines is news that our economy leapt up by 15.5% in the quarter July to September, the biggest jump on record.
What follows that almost universally?
The word "but".
"but growth showed signs of slowing down at the end of the three months." says Auntie Beeb.
Very similar on Sky and I can't see anything about it in the Telegraph.
But surely it's no surprise that growth would slow down after a surge - or were to instead expect stratospheric growth?
I suspect disattisfaction that the country isn't doing worse so that some deluded souls can gloat even more.
Hey, there's a bit of terminology the media could get their teeth into!
Stratospheric.
