Re: Libs surge above Labour

Hi

I think that the result says far more about Corbyn's Labour than it does about the Lib Dems.

One would have expected that the Labour Vote would have risen significantly, instead it fell.

The Labour Party's vote may have dropped, but the 'nasty party's' collapsed losing more than 20,000 votes.

Hi

Yes, it did, that is why I am so surprised that Labour did not pick up votes but their share dropped.

After all, Corbyn is supposed to be the saviour of Labour.

Do you think that this reluctance to support Corbyn may have anything to do with the current spate of Republican shootings in Belfast?

The Labour vote collapsed as well UJ. Almost halved in fact as did "the nasties vote" with the LibDems more than doubling their's. There was a reduced turnout from the last election. Only the LibDems can be happy with the result.

Not hard to get elected when you are the only main candidate.

Your showing your self up again best to read the WHOLE article before you put a link to it.

Quote from the article as you seemed to have missed it.

Labour secured the West Yorkshire constituency with a majority of 16,537 after the Conservatives, Liberal Democrats , Ukip and Greens chose not to field candidates out of respect for Mrs Cox.

Re: Libs surge above Labour

I appreciate the other main parties didn't nominate a candidate to stand against her, but the 'nazi' parties did and lost their deposits in the process.
