Just one remains with me and that is I will not walk under a ladder. Two others that spring to mind that used to be observed but are now ignored, they are not leaving cutlery on the table and unplugging the TV aerial during a thunderstorm.

How long have you got?

Crossed knives, you should see me filling the dishwasher!

Always leaving by the door you entered, not by another door.

Dropping a knife, you mustn’t pick it up. Let someone else and they can have the bad luck!

Shoes on a table is an argument. I think more about what they have stepped in!

Washing on a Sunday, only sluts do that! (According to my mother in law!)

Cutting nails on a Saturday or Sunday. I know it’s only one of those days so l won’t cut them on a weekend.

Putting clothes on back to front or inside out is bad luck if you correct it. I can’t change it, so l put something else on instead.

No bringing Lilacs, Lilly of the Valley or Lillies into the house, it means death. Our dog was run over and killed when we did once.

There’s more but they will do for now and you can think how paranoid l am!

Nope, not really superstitious that I know of.
Life's complex enough without sticking in fear to a list of do's and don't.

Some are plain commonsense anyway ... avoiding walking under a ladder quite sensibly reduces the risk of someone who is up it, dropping something on your head.

Never wax your surfboard twice in one day - Or you'll be eaten by a shark.

Re: Traits,Habits, Quirks and Superstitions

I always remember my best friend I used to walk to school with. Her Mum would never let her wash her hair at ' that time of the month.'
Can't remember why now though.
