Once again Dex, I think you are correct, I will carry on with the sub-base for the slabs and give that area a wide berth for a while.

Sensible indeed. You've got plenty to get on with anyway and the fencing can be done after any dusty stuff.

Had to go to Whitchurch today so ain't had much time, the step down on the timber from the slab is 50mm, 12mm for the mortar bed and 38mm for the paving slabs, the concrete sub base will be 50-60mm thick.

Line post relocated the new lawn level will cover the concrete, and the sub-base started, just cordoned it off to stop the dog leaving her mark.

Bingo, that's four jumbo bags of ballast of ballast and about 20 bags of cement. The shed came this morning, in two manageable box's, so off on a slab matching trip in an hour or so.
