We will still have foreign workers when we leave the club - difference is WE now decide who and how many we accept. Simple to understand really. Or are you going to dispute that like you dispute everything else?

As for mangoes and avocados, I won't eat them because to do so would be to support the Mexican drugs cartels who are moving into normal agriculture by force.
The most tasty mango's and paw paws are grown in Africa
Percy! And South Africa also grows apples in large quantities and
oranges and naartgies ( tangerines) too!
Water melons, avocados, melons etc all when in season!
So you dont have to worry about the mexican drug cartels??
South african wine is allready exported to the eu in refridgerated
bulk containers for mixing with their wine lake??
As south of the equator fruit is ripe when the northern hemisphere
is in winter we would be able to have naturally ripened fruit in
our winters??

Is South Africa still in the Commonwealth?

Perhaps we can rely on them as a trade partner.

In fact, quite a lot of Commonwealth nations are in the southern hemisphere and we are on good terms with most of them.

Sod the EU! Who needs them?

Re: Things are moving.

Hi

We have published our WTO Tariffs.

They do not just apply to the EU they apply to all imports.

In order for them not to apply to a particular Country we need a Free Trade Deal with them.

That is the way the WTO Rules work.

Under the schedule, 85% of foods imported from the EU will face tariffs of more than 5%. This includes 48% on beef mince, 16% on cucumbers, and 57% on cheddar cheese. The average tariff on food imported from the EU would be over 20%.

We will still trade wth the EU, but in a different way.

I'm afraid I don't understand exactly how tariffs are set; I'm a tafiff ignoramus.

However, if we set our own tariffs, what's to stop us lowering them if that is to our advantage?

If you lower them, wto demands that lowering is equal for all countries. EU included.

Advantage will be for the consumers. Your own farmers will not be able to compete and go bust.

Of course not. We both know that while you were member of the EU you had to accept each and every immigrant they sent to the UK. You didn't control pasports etc. The EU performed these controls for you and stopped 2 mln turks coming to live with you..

You bet I understand! After boris, your ministers are now learning the new driving style: the U-turn.

Priti Patel*will on Monday unveil a new “health and care visa”, entitling migrant workers to fast-track cut-price permission to take up job offers and support to move here with their families.
Foreign*care workers*will be given special visas to move to the UK to head off fears of desperate staffing shortages when*Brexit*is completed, in a major government U-turn.

Hi

It is part of this initial investment.

There is more to come.
