I have stated, and shown, poetry is not my forte hence I seldom go on those threads. Who are these 'illustrious few'? Are you setting up an exclusion zone on this thread then? If people are shy, or reluctant, to have a go at poetry, don't insist on minimum number of lines - that should help.

Re: A Poem-"The Over 50's Forum"

well this didn't seem to make many want to give it a go did it?? So seems to have been a complete waste of time, come on someone have a bloomin bash at it,

it's a cold wet Monday morning here
so give it a go and bring some cheer
or failing that lets all have a beer
if you don't like beer then maybe some wine
and with more thought you'll find maybe a rhyme
Oh bugger this is only the sixth line.
and that last line seemed a few words short
so I'll have to sit here and give it more thought.

it maybe crap but at least I'm trying, hubby always agreed I was trying (very trying)
is it just me everytime I go to that icon I think it says I've a big un it actually says icon big grin

Re: A Poem-"The Over 50's Forum"

it wasn't a rhyme but I did attempt it. I don't take a blind bit of notice what Bill says suppose he's trying to be helpful just maybe goes about it the wrong way, Eccles did go one a bit though. It was meant to be fun.

BTW what's BIB??
