Lived All Of Your Life In The Same Place?

I have met a couple of other old fogies who have lived their entire lives in the same place.

One of them in the same house!

These are people now into their 80s.

It doesn't mean that they haven't travelled the world, because they have, but when I think about it, they might have gained something, or missed something?

Me, I've lived in Lancashire, East Yorkshire, Hampshire, Berkshire, and on the High Seas.

I have to switch accents, depending on where I am!

Which is oddest?

To stay where you are, or to move around a lot?

We've never moved houses since the day we got married, been here 47 years!

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree,lived in a village til I got married moved 5 miles to a small town. Travelled a fair bit,everything I want is here,daughters have moved further a field to cities but its nice to come back to the peace and quiet.

I have lived in Derbyshire, Lancashire, Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Dorset, Somerset and back to Worcestershire.

I don't think I will be leaving Worcestershire now.

I was told about an elderly lady who was taken
out in the car for a birthday treat by some of her
younger family.

When they got there (it might have been Southwold)
she refused to get out of the car.

She had never set foot outside Norfolk and wasn't
going to start now.

I am 82 years old and have lived all my life in the north east of Scotland apart from 2 years national service. The last 50 years in the same house.

I am still living in the same house as I was born in 73 years ago I've never moved and never wanted to, I suppose the only time I'll leave is in a wooden box.
