Re: Off to a good start ? HS2!

This is going to be a complete waste of time and money.

It is going to end up well over a hundred billion, mark my words, and how many people are going to be able to afford to use it?

All for the sake of 20 minutes time saving!

There is a human cost to all of this too. An elderly friend had his home of 50 years taken away from him by compulsory purchase to make way for this HS2. He had the most beautiful garden that was his pride and joy. After having to find a new home followed by the COVID lockdown in a place he barely knew, he sadly took his own life.

Surely it would have been less expensive to give, all those wishing to get about faster, free air return tickets from Heathrow & Gatwick.

That would also use up a lot of the planes which are now having to be scrapped?

That's appalling. It should have been published in the national press.

How sad. This is the sort of thing that so called planners choose to ignore. So long as they get some money in their own back pockets, they couldn't give a stuff. Sorry to hear about your friend Margaret.

I agree JBR.
They keep things like that quiet though.

So sorry about your poor friend Margaret.
