Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Snow's nearly gone and it's another grey day here with heavy rain forecast. Just chucked a chicken in the oven - hope my Aga is going to be hot enough to cook it by lunch time.

Enjoyed the game yesterday (well the second half anyway) and looking forward to this afternoon's. Nothing else to get excited about!

Hope you're feeling better this morning Jac x

Thank goodness the freezing weather has gone.
They say that people buy silly things on line during lockdown-I confess I ordered a lava lamp that arrived yesterday! It was £12.99 so didn't break the bank.
Hope you're feeling better Jac.
Stay safe.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

I Know that it was milder yesterday but I couldn't get warm all day. Had some nice sunshine this morning - but the washing is still in front of a radiator and the c/h is on. District Nurse came this morning to take some bloods from Rob and take his BP. She did manage it but Rob did his best to hang on to his blood!

Grandson is here. On half term now so no school work. Atm he's playing on his laptop with his buddies, while I'm watching the snooker.

Take care Jac, and do as you're told!

One of the great Welsh snooker players has died-Doug Mountjoy.Back in the day used to watch him and the other Welsh players, don't seem to know the players so well these days.

Nice to see all the tributes to Doug Mountjoy. I'm watching snooker all the time atm. Really got into it during these lockdowns.

Just been "pickin a chicken" . Isn't it amazing how much is on a chicken? We've already had a couple of meals off it and there's enough for a couple of sandwiches, a curry and a risotto, plus all the skin and bits for the dogs.

Grandson and buddies are playing minecraft in the background - some very funny conversations.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Miserable weather this morning but had a dry walk.
Had a go at cutting my fringe yesterday-not a great success, difficult when you wear glasses.
Made pancakes yesterday afternoon, the dog had one and had a sugar rush afterwards he was really wound up!
Hope you get your meds sorted out Jac and you can have a restful sleep.Keep on improving.
Stay safe.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

I am dying for a haircut. As bad now as it was during the first lockdown!

Forgot all about pancakes yesterday and grandson didn't remind me!

Just had a message from my granddaughter to say that Lola (her new dachshund puppy) had her first howl free night!

So fed up with my washing machine, it's now spinning as fast as it should. Think I shall have to try and persuade my boys to install the one that I panic bought a couple of months ago!

Such a lovely sunny day here. My snowdrops are looking amazing all up the road.
