I don’t believe in holding onto it, as that’s unhealthy.

You just move on ... until the next one!
Totally agree.

My old fella was extremely volatile (verbally, but never physically) and we had very frequent vociferous outbursts as a family, which were usually forgotten about within 10 mins.

Took me a long time to understand that this isn't "normal" within a family.

Re: Peacekeeping

Dex, I was going to ask you this question on the thread that has now been closed for the second time.

You mentioned that your wife liked to wind down after church.

I wondered if your wife was a lady vicar?

I think we have to understand that we all deal with rows differently.
It’s just how we are....

No, she's not a vicar. She's far more religious that that

Aw come on Dex.

If she needs to wind down after church she must be more than a member of the congregation...

Re: Peacekeeping

Hi

I very rarely row, normally the first to apologise.

That is simply good manners.

On the very rare occasion that I do, I expect to be listened to.

That does not mean that I am always right.

I do listen and learn.

Well, she does tend to get somewhat irritated by some sermons amongst other aspects. Plus, of course, she has to deal with her mother who she transports there and back!!

She's been going to that church for over 50 years, so I'm sure you can imagine there will be the usual minor institutional stuff going on as well!!
