Re: Let's talk about the Weather.

It's warmed up, +6 compared to -7 yesterday, there's been some rain but there's still a lot of compacted ice on the footpaths.

Re: Let's talk about the Weather.

I’ve chickened out of going to dog class this morning, as only an hour ago we got back from our first walk and got wet n cold. Both our coats are still drying, mine on a hanger, hers on the rad.

Quite a cold wind when it picks up, and I had to hang on to my hood.

The forecast on the tele showed it moving eastwards in a few hours.

Yep! Raining here too but at least the ice has melted on top of the pond which will save me having to go out with bottles of hot water.

Re: Let's talk about the Weather.

So much milder here.
8 degs. today instead of the minus's or only 1's and 2's of late.
Wet, grey, breezy, but mild.

It's good not to have to de-ice my car this morning.

There are floods in Townsville but some creatures don't mind a bit of water. How would you like this fella in your driveway?

Another good reason for me going in August!, I prefer to see them from a boat.... I had a look at your travel blog, interesting stuff, it must be a nice way to travel that, nicer waking in the Morning in the wild rather than in a motel room. The photo's might motivate me to get on with booking something You are lucky to live in such an amazing diverse Country though. I really fancy crossing the Nullarbor again sometime, just a case of sorting out the logistics as that would have to be a Summer trip there which means a Winter one here and given my wife works in a school the holidays are at fixed times....
