I can't see the end of the world coming I can see us wiping ourselves out though and I am not convinced that would be such a bad thing.

The end of the world might be millions of years away, the end of us could be days, weeks or months away. Is it important, when it happens?

Someone somewhere has been forecasting the end of the world ever since we could communicate with each other, and they've not got it right yet.

The end of the world for me will be when I finally shuffle off this mortal coil, hopefully later rather than sooner.

For many years here we had a man standing on a local junction with a sandwich board proclaiming end of the world is nigh. Don't see people doing that these days.

Having spoken to him over the years he seemed more sane than some, very clever man too he had degrees in physics and literature and Latin. I do hope heaven was his destination, he just disappeared one day no one to this day seems to know why he stopped his daily protest.

A lot of religious people have attended university. So have atheists.
Now one really knows the whole truth.
On the other hand, the end really is neigh, isn't it? Just a matter of time.

Religion and spirituality aside. I prefer to go along with the scientists. We shall have little doubt about the end of the world. Our sun will become a red giant and begin gobbling up the inner planets one by one, ours included. Though not for millions of years yet.
The end of humans upon this planet is another matter altogether. This could be achieved in very short order with a few loud explosions, at the behest of power hungry, mentally unstable idiots.
