The problem is not supply, the problem is demand the lack of which is pushing prices down. It is old technology and new and cheaper forms of energy production are replacing them.
But increasingly more and more of us don't want your or any fossil fuel at ANY price! As for oil if extraction technology had not advanced so much it would be very hard to obtain.

Can't you read? That's what I said!

You were burbling on about the price going up when the reality is that the price is going down because of lack of demand.
