Was (and still am) a huge fan, I saw him perform at The Rainbow, I think it saw '72.
I had a mate in the late 70s who was a close friend of his .
He would turn up at the odd party in Grosvenor Park were we all lived. Any excuse in those days for a party, the street was always buzzing.
The guy never forgot where he came from always had time to chat.
Cheers guys nice to see one of my threads pick up some interest.
Felt like this one for the past few days (new meds)
Ever had a argument with the postman.
He rang the bell early and when I got down the stairs he was shoving letters and small parcels through my letter box. I opened the door and there he was on his knees ready to push this effing big parcel through the letterbox.
I said to him "Don't you lot ever read the labels"
Is this not 155 then he says. Yes it frigging is I say but it says leave in the white cupboard and thats behind you.
Arrrr yes I know I write total nonsense I hear you say but hey I am still floating, what's your excuses.
The wifey as just told me to go back to bed.
I won't remember any of this later when I wake.
