Coconut oil

Was just brushing some through my hair and thought this has to be cheapest and best leave in hair conditioner ever, also great on dry skin and you can cook with it. Multipurpose beauty product and it takes off water proof makeup too.

Do you have any good products you wouldn't be without ? Obviously on the cheap side as it's the money saving forum.

Re: Coconut oil

Moroccan argan oil great for the skin and hair "when I let it grow that is" also gives that shine to my baldy head in the summer.
You can buy it from most Poundland shops and I saw it on the shelf at The Range last week for the same price.

I used coconut oil for swishing when I had sore mouth I don't get ulcers hardly these days but I still have a jar of coconut oil in the cupboard just incase and it also comes in handy when I do a korma I cook the chicken in it beforehand.

Re: Coconut oil

I was watching dragons den this week , a young couple starting a business for creams etc for babies and toddlers and they made products using pure organic coconut oils , they said it was marvelous for exma and skin conditions . ( not sure if I spelt exma right ) I use it in my hair too , also for massage .

Re: Coconut oil

Yes it is good for many skin conditions my husbands psoriasis has virtually cleared up since using it and when I have a bit of contact dermatitis I just treat it with this and it clears within a day.

Re: Coconut oil

Is this the same coconut oil that can be used to cook with? Have got a jar of that so may try it on my contact dermatitis too if it's the same stuff.

Re: Coconut oil

Just wondered if it's helping Judd ?

Incidentally I was told it's good to clean teeth with so I'm giving that a go, I have to say they feel as clean as when I use toothpaste and it's quite a refreshing taste, apparently my breath is ok too. I'll keep doing it until I know one way or another if it has any bad reactions and report back.

Re: Coconut oil

It clears gum infections up if you swish for 5 to 10 minutes.
