Re: ANOTHER Last, Last, Last Chance!
Ofcourse it has no plans for a no-deal, they thought Boris would give in to their demands and and stay in the EU
The problem for the EU now is not only do they have no plans for no-deal across the 27 member states, they have to convince the business all over the EU that the gold plated solution that has been given to them by David Frost in legal texts for an unlimited quota, zero tarriff trade agreement will be taken off the table by Brussels.
This will not be popular in the EU
So the pressure on the EU is ...
1. The reduction of the 100 billion a year worth of net imports from them from the UK.
2. The 27 member states who's leaders were promised our fisheries, the level playing field and control of the UK from the ECJ that now isn't going to happen.
3. All the industries in the 27 who supply the UK with goods suddenly realising they have to now compete with the rest of the world due to our zero tarrif MFN limits and the UK not being hamstrung by the CAP.
4. Massive unemployment in the 27, not just because of COVID but because we can trade elsewhere on more favourable terms.
...... and that's before the UK deregulates from EU rules.
I think Barnier has dug his own grave, Boris just needs to stick to his guns.
