What puzzles me is this attitude change in the face of increasing competition at the hands of new technology.
You'd think that - as media see their incomes dry up with people getting fed instead by electronic means - traditional media of TV and newspapers would do as much as possible to provide impartial, factual and reliable news.
But no.
Instead the focus has turned in the opposite direction favouring opionion, misdirection and even propaganda.
That is no way to ensure a profitable future and far less an expansion into a potentially hugely-profitable global market.

If the term "shoot yourself in the foot" ever applied to anything it is with this, the attitude of UK media.
The media is just one part of what we call the establishment or
the status quo Zaphod?
I am sure you know the other members ???
That is what we are up against !!
There are only two ways to beat the status quo !
One is bloody revolution !!
The other is gradual reform and honesty ??
So far in imo, the gradual approach has suffered a major setback !!

Donkeyman! 🤔🤔

BTW, the thread is about territorial integrity ???

Re: 3yr fishing deal???

Yes this thread is about territorial integrity.

It is related though because (as the recent posts make clear) it is the actions of our media and of our establishment who are preventing "the people" from having what they decided about our territorial integrity thwarted!

Because of them our fishing is still under threat just as much as other areas of our sovereignty until the final decision is made.

The only consolation we have is that the decision cannot reasonably be delayed for much longer.
