great to meet you all. I notice a couple in here have lived in Spain, I too lived in Spain for 2 years, came back in 2006, we hope to go back for our retirement years

I'm a Dublin townie, never lived anywhere else, I moan about the changes to the place but still love it.

I too envy you Jem. I was born in Essex of Irish grandparents either side hence the irish names given all the kids in our family. I lived for a short time down in West Sussex but soon returned to Essex to be near my children.

I'm afraid I cannot claim to be anything other than English! I've not found any other nationality when doing my family tree, although my mother is convinced there is some Irish in us somewhere but I've yet to find it!

Hi Petershull - I'm from Slough too (born in Chalvey when it was still a rural village), but have never really moved that far from home. I lived in Windsor for some years, also in Hayes, Hillingdon and Heston before making my home in the Peoples Republic of Brentford.
