One More Bottle.

Awake for Sweetie in the bowl of night
Has opened one more bottle of dry white,
And Lo! her skill has made
Another fruity cup for our delight!

To see this Siren lately rise,
And suffering is written in her eyes.
Carousing to the dawn this day,
Without encouragement of prize!

I sometimes think I’ve never been so drunk,
And noticed not the red rimmed eyes have sunk.
I’ve watched the coming of another day,
And slowly tottered to my bunk!
