Still no sign the EU is going to end. It seems many in the UK want to return, but the UK is no longer welcome. Funny that....

Re: Italy ... The Beginning of the End for the EU

I'd like to ask a serious question regarding the money we paid each week/ month into the EU when we were members . Dont want to start a new thread but wonder if some of you may know the answers, if there are any that is .

Remember the millions that we paid

Where is that money going now ?

And is our country benefitting from it as was promised

Till the end of this year, the UK still pays into the coffers of the EU, approx £1 bn every month.

For the share in assets the UK's is entitled to, read the withdrawal agreement.
The UK is treated as a member during the transition period, so there are memberships dues to pay. On the other hand, you also receive the subsidies and other benefits. (That is an important reason why the UK doesn't as yet feel any the backlashes of leaving).
If you read the withdrawal agreement, you can see for yourself.

Any crisis can end the EU as we are seeing.

Theres far too much evidence of that already. Now, your Mr Rutte has to sit and wait his turn to beg for bailout loans from his unelected mob, who have him way down their list of priorities.

While he is waiting he can walk around your harbour looking at the boats lying idle and going up for sale

What loans? We're not the UK!
Rutte has announced a package of help costing € billions, a month.
Don't forget we are some 3-4 days ahead of the UK in all aspects of corona. E.g. the package your chancellor anounced today has already been introduced in the netherlands https://www.rijksoverheid.nl/actueel...en-en-economie
The link is in dutch, but the date of 17-3 is understandable for you. Just as a percentage of 90% of guarantee on salary, which exceeds thebritish 80%. But then again, we are in the EU, so better of than the UK on the outside.

In edit:
our schools were closed last week, restaurants, pubs etc. were closed last sunday. Yesterday it was announced that geriatric institutions were closed for visiting family. Exception, saying goodbye to the dying.
