Re: Coronavirus: Face coverings to be mandatory on public transport

Well,

so far, the government has...

5 Nightingale hospitals built and operational (that were not needed in the end)
Supply chains for supermarkets maintained.
PPE issues resolved
The entire country locked down with social distancing rules
Employees furloughed under government sponsored schemes
Business grants provided and government back bounce back loans
Vaccines and Diagnostics developed and implemented in the UK almost from the ground up
200,000 test daily capacity reached according to the governments target
100,000 daily tests+ achieved according to the government target
Curve flattened
NHS not overwhelmed
Recording of care homes included in reporting at the request of the media/public
"R" Rate below 1
Shops reopening
Businesses going back to normal
Schools reopening
Schedule communicated for the opening of restaurants and pubs
TFL bailed out

Meanwhile in other news, during this time

Labour have managed (after 4 months) to appoint a new leader but failed to come up with an alternative plan.
Kier Starmer has written 2 personal letters to the Prime Minister
Sadiq Kahn has avoided scrutiny at his London Assembly since the beginning of March by not bothering to turn up
Nicola Sturgeon has followed the government about a week behind.
Wales is a catastrophe and folding under pressure of the unions and instead not sending kids back to school like England is (their 'second best option" according to them).

... and that's about it.

That's been the trouble all along ... insufficient ventilators, masks, PPE, test kits, volunteers.
What happened to that huge purpose built ware house full that
cant be accessed due to some legal crap over a lease or something?
The ware house is near Liverpool and is filled with pppe that was
bought for just such a situation as now exists by the nhs and so
belongs to them!
How can a legal problem interfere with a matter of public health??

Alok Sharma broke out into a terrible sweat in the HOC. Panic. Has he contacted Covid19?
A test was carried out. The result? No he did not have Covid19. If this test took less than an hour why are other tests taking up to two to three weeks?

Only one thing Bread, the supply of ppe appears to be not enough
as there is doubt that supplies will cope with both NHS and PUBLIC
usage together?
Thats why l have posted on that subject also on this thread?
The rest of your post is all true!

..... and achieved 40,000+ coronavirus-linked deaths - the highest in Europe - more than were killed in the London Blitz and approaching the total number of civilians killed by Nazi bombing in the UK for the whole of World War II .....

No mean feat to beat Hitler .....

Recorded deaths - we are the most transparent country in the world at recording deaths, unlike the rest of Europe. When the final figures are revealed, you can feel free to congratulate other countries on their success of beating Hitler in the death count.

While you're on, you might want to give your socialist mates in the CCP a big round of applause for causing this in the first place. I bet they make Hitler look like a saint ....

By the way, you owe me £50

Out of curiosity ... I've got to ask you guys.

Is there anything that you think Boris and his government have done right?

They have got all of it right, the drop in the R rate proves that. Whether you agree with the schedule or not that's another thing to discuss, but as London refused to lock down when they were told and we were lied to over and over again by the CCP and the apologists in the WHO I think the government did a good job under the circumstances.

Just think yourself lucky this wasn't coordinated by Corbyn. Wales should give you an idea of the catastrophe that would have been

Or maybe you like to hear the rhetorical flip flopping from Captain Hindsight, the new leader of the smallest labour party we have had for about 40 years

They may have done something right ..... but usually too little, too late ..... and now the relaxation of "rules" may yet bring a "second wave" .....
