Once we are out, surely we should have duty free return?

Re: Free Movement Ended

Hi

Duty Free is a minimal allowance.

Wine is 4 litres, six bottles.

Cigarettes will be 200.

Guy smokes and I like my wine.

Currently unlimited.

I like my trips to France ,I can bring in 200 bottles at a time without going over the weight limit.

These are wines I can rarely get in the UK.

I like the food there, short breaks are my thing.

I will not also be able to fish my favourite Wrecks from the UK.

I will have to go to France to fish them and pay the French to fish them.

I pay full UK Tax, unlike the IR35 Bunch.

He keep throwing in this IR35 clause but the reality is, that you have absolutely no idea what it is and what its for.

My business pays corporation tax at 20% and you don't so I could say your avoiding tax - even though corporation tax doesn't apply to you because you don't run a business, have never ran a business and probably never will. Maybe that might help you understand that people don't need to pay taxes that they don't apply to them. I doubt you've even bothered to find out about IR35, but I dare say, that as someone who will work for themselves signing customs documents at £400 a day (as you have boasted about on here many times), you would definitely come under the IR35 umbrella - I suggest you get an accountant and a lawyer very quickly if - feel free to PM me if you need a good one.

In fact, when I come to think of it, the real tax avoiders are those like you who go over to Calais, stock up on duty free and drive it all home in your big diesel van without paying any VAY, tax or import duties. In one post you're accusing businesses like mine of being some sort of crook by not paying under a tax regime that we are not supposed to be paying anyway, and on the other hand boasting about how much tax your are avoiding (and more likely evading because I don't believe a word you saying about driving all that way to France and paying for ferries etc to buy the UK duty free limit of 400 Benson and Hedges).

There is nothing worse than a socialist, hypocritical snob with faulty principles and no clue how the world works.

Just saying like ....

Re: Free Movement Ended

Hi

Rubbish.

I pay Full UK Tax.

You do not.

Some of my Income is Tax Free, Injury Payments, which you will never get, never being on the Frontline.

Export Certificates?

Well yes, I could earn a mint.

Not going to, I am a carer for my son, which is my primary concern at the moment.

I charge nothing for them locally, they provide a carer when I need to go to the Plants.

Brexit is important to me, the EU was not for me.

I am quite prepared to take any Financial hit to leave.

You are not, but believe me you will.

How come? Can you not still visit using your passport?

ETA. You mean that although you can still travel, you can no longer take advantage of the duty-free allowances? I'm asking this because some snowflake on Twitter was bemoaning the fact that he could no longer go to Europe. He's the same mentality who think their foreign holidays will stop after full Brexit.

Hi

Yes, but what I bring back is severely limited.

No longer a car full.

Brexit is going to cost me around £6k a year.

I would have been much less with a Deal.but it was still important that we leave.

I will never, ever regret Voting to Leave.

I do however think that Boris is a Prat who has not got us the Best Terms.

Of course british tourists will still be welcome. Jobs will be a little more difficult, due to loss of free movement. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...-a9593066.html

So if the WA ends on 31 december, the ireland protocol which is part of the WA, will also end, even before it comes into effect?

The first details of the controversial Brexit checks Boris Johnson*insisted would not apply*to trade across the Irish Sea have emerged, with mandatory paperwork for businesses in Great Britain supplying goods to Northern Ireland from January. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/...sing-irish-sea
