Back to School

Well... in Wales we are!
I was in Monday and Tuesday this week teaching my "bubble" of 10 students.
All clean and socially distanced and as safe as it could be.
The most obvious thing to me was how happy all the children seemed to be to see each other and even their teachers!

Re: Back to School

Rhian, My daughter who is a Primary School teacher in Brighton, teaching year 5 has been at school most of the Lockdown.
Some days there were only three pupils in.
Today, she rang me, most of her class are in but she only taught six of them today.

Re: Back to School

Distanced teaching is fairly effective but nothing gives them the same mental wellbeing that chatting to friends face to face clearly brings

Re: Back to School

I take my hat off to the teachers who have been all the time teaching, or those who are now back teaching. You are saints, I wouldn't have the patience.

Re: Back to School

Hi

Good for you Rhian.

teachers have become political pawns in this, blamed for not reopening but suffering from a complete lack of guidance on how to open safely and with no money to do so.

An easy target.

Re: Back to School

I bet you will be glad of a break Rhian it must be hard work and worrying times for teachers.

I should have been on holiday in beautiful Wales with my family this week in a house overlooking the sea Sadly the house is no longer to be used as a holiday let but I hope to be back in Wales next year
