I was looking at something on you-tube when the screen suddenly changed showing a message that I had been chosen to win $3000 and I had to phone an 02 number. Being very sceptical about such things I didn't ring but I wonder if it was genuine. Does anyone know anything about it ?
I had a similar thing happen to me today, I was in my Yahoo account sending and email, when a message flashed up asking me to clarify my email and password.
I immediately deleted it.
never fall for those.clicking will either send your current locale to another server or possibally link you directly to a virus or malware download.trust me. on the internet since 1997.i see these pop up ads and banners all the time
They're about as genuine as all the banking scams which ask you for your details or a reply to a bank you've never banked with or a company you've never dealt with.
Not quite as amusing though as the ones from the dark continent telling you you've inherited $2million from a long lost ancestor or could really help a very tragic cause by sending them $5000.
