Hopscotch - or Graffiti ...

A little girl in Kent, playing hopscotch (one of my fav games), a police car pulls up and an officer approaches the girl playing alone - 'You cant do that - its a criminal damage' says he. The girl ran to the house and told dad, who was none too pleased. How can this be criminal damage, what has been damaged, a bit of rain will wash away the chalk !
Madness !

Seriously? The police have nothing better to do than harass a child about chalk on the pavement? Sad.

Well I guess maybe one can look at it positively... must be living in a good area if the worst crime is chalk graffiti. Around here we're still hoping for a positive outcome in the search for a 32-yr old man missing since Monday.

I know Annie - I have answered that thread, but no, the area is not 'that' good - I think the police are losing the plot !

Perhaps the policeman hadnt enough notes in his book,I remember my husband often used to stop and search people(Looking in their bags if he was low in incidents oh yes and cyclists were handy you checked the brakes. A policemans lot is not a nappy one... nappy one.

Re: Hopscotch - or Graffiti ...

I read the article and it says two policemen stopped the girl.
The police are trying to trace the officers concerned, they say there was no patrol car in the area...all a bit worrying, isn't it?
