Is it Over for Starmer ?

I think so...

He said he would take full responsibility for Hartlepool and losing by (what looks like) around 7000 votes, the writing is on the wall.

The hard left and the unions are now circling Starmer with comments from MPs' like Diane Abbot saying Corbyn won Hartlepool twice so Starmer needs to change his stance.

Oh dear ...

I think the only way forward for Labour is to split, you can't have the centre ground, centre left and hard left all in one party.

And once again, the silent majority speak up and hand labour their verdict.

I am afraid Labour leaders are still living in the early 20th century and happy to patronise 'the working class' with their left wing intellectual outlook.

Time they moved on and learned to listen to people and not to assume 'we know best what you think and need' .

Exactly Meg

Labour have been nothing more than "the critiques of Johnson", they need policies and a mandate they can stand on instead of smear campaigns and stupid stunts in John Lewis.

Re: Is it Over for Starmer ?

The irony, of course, is that they will now dump Starmer, who they consider too moderate, and replace him with yet another extreme hard left leader on the same mindset of Corbyn!

Isn't the definition of madness to continue to repeat the same actions and then expect a different result?

Hi

Spot on.

The thing is Boris has made huge promises he has yet to deliverer on.

The French protest was a godsend to him.

In my view they are both finished, but Labour will come off worse if they go more left wing.

You could very easily replace the word madness with socialism

"I think the OP should read "Is It All Over For Labour".

How any peoples party can put a Lord in the leaders seat is beyond me.
I have voted Conservative now for around 25 years and will continue to do that until I see a decent leader in that Labour leaders seat.
One that I believe is going to do well for the people of this country.

"The Many" voted conservative again

How on earth Labour thought it was a good idea to put Dr Paul Williams in again after he lost his seat in 2019 and voted to close the hospitals is beyond me.

Anyway, all eyes on London - Sadiq looks like he only has a 3 point lead over Baily.

Most definitely.

It's also over for the woke culture, and socialism
