We have a very similar denial to your suggestion happen every day here in the UK regarding Brexit after the public twice made their opinion clear.

She's one to talk. She lost a `once in a lifetime` referendum on Scotland leaving the Union, but she still persists in trying to get Indyref2 off the ground.
