Vaccine available privately???

Should the vaccine be made available to private health patients?
If so will this give them priority over NHS patients?
Will it cause a shortage of supply for the NHS due to private
health schemes ability to pay more for for the vaccine??
Private health spokesmen say it will relieve pressure on the NHS
by allowing them to administer the vaccine?
But this is not the case, as private patients have no effect on NHS
by virtue of being private? They will not be using NHS beds etc
anyway??
Sounds like US& THEM to me??

It wouldn't surprise me Donks. They would probably get a cup of tea and a bun too whereas at my clinic, you are lucky to get a seat.

Why not? A major factor where mass vaccination is concerned is to reduce the number of people in the "at risk pile" in order to reduce the load on the NHS, it's not just about individuals being made safe.

All levels of the rich will make sure they get their hands on the vaccine before anyone else does. They have the money to bribe people, coerce people and tempt people.

Seems the cost for two shots is going to be as "Cheap as Chips", why will a person need to be wealthy to buy it?

Because of the logistics costs.

Exactly my point Todgy?
The rich will get the vaccine first, thus reducing the amount of
vaccine available for the impoverished masses!
And as the rich wont be using NHS beds anyway it will have no
effect on the pressure on the NHS Beds etc if they get sick?

Re: Vaccine available privately???

You do realise this isn't a normal vaccine. It has to be stored at minus 70 degrees in liquid nitrogen. Once thawed it has to be used pretty quick, a few hours. Private facilities would have to invest in all the logistics and storage facilities. I can't see that happening in the first tranche of vaccination. Maybe in the longer term if it is found to be needed on an annual basis.
