The old couple who live next doorHave an extraordinarily organized life
And although we have stepped through their door
We can hear through the wall the man’s wife
“John come here, John go there”
She treats him like a fool
But he retains his devil may care
Attitude as a general rule
For when she’s out
Out comes the stout
And he sups it sat by the pond
He’s timed it to
When she is due
Back from the shops beyond
Take Friday for example
Of how she is a handful
In doing things the same each week
She’s seen hanging out her line
Each week at the same time
I know cos through the fence I peeked
First on line go seven knickers white
Followed by Y fronts, just the one
I know that’s so, I know its right
But I won’t tell you about his socks, not one
Of those he has twelve pairs

Anyway he was a right pain in the arse to everyone, of course I can understand anyone being proud of a relations success, but we’re getting this every time he comes in, over and over again, I’m beginning to think he now thinks he’s his own nephew, he tried to edge out old Fergus who compares the sing-song at the weekends, but Fergus put him in his place, silly old bugger.
Then his wife came in from bingo next door and brought him back down to earth with a bang “You’d better guzzle down that pint quickly Sammy, or we’ll miss the last bus home, unless you have the money for a taxi that is” He was out the door like a light.
Now take me for example, I know a great musician, poet, songwriter and wit, not to mention his academic stuff, but I never boast about it, he goes by the modest name of Pug.
PS. Well that’s the Pug Plug done, I’ll PM you my address for the cheque later old buddy of mine.

It’s not something
