Salamander water pump didn’t work briefly

The pump giving me extra pressure for the hot water stopped working the other day, so I booked the plumber’s visit, and cleared out the cupboard of all it’s contents, so he could access it.

Then suddenly it started working again! Does anyone have experience of these, and can work out why it stopped working just for a short while?

Thanks.

Possibly a blocked filter?

I’ve cancelled the plumber’s call out. Not paying him £40 if it’s back working.
