Re: Favourite tipple

Christmas Day I’ll have a few bottles of stout and two or three glasses of Port that’s about it.

I enjoy Red Wine with my Christmas dinner.
I enjoy Port with the cheeseboard .

Re: Favourite tipple

I will happily swill almost any alcoholic beverage known to man or beast - from a gorilla's armpit.

14-20 ... cheap, sweet wines and liqueurs
20-30 ... beer (domestic + Heinekin), Scotch (with mixers)
30-40 ... beer (light) foreign beers, stout
40-50 ... occasional beer (picky), cask white wine
50-60 ... premium beer, bottled white wine, good scotch (dash of soda)
60+ refer to first sentence + cider, bubbly and cognac

Xmas / birthdays ... StAgnes XO Imperial or Martell cognac.
(1 bottle usually lasts until the next 'occasion')
Neat - of course.

Re: Favourite tipple

Christmas Day we start with mimosas.
Then move on to coffee with Baileys.
While we're getting the meal ready, I'll sip on a beer, while me man has his rum.
At supper, there will be a nice bottle of wine.
Everything goes down nicely!

Re: Favourite tipple

The only time I drink whisky is at Christmas so I've bought a bottle, also Aldi's red wine is luscious and of course I'm a Lambrini gal so there' will be a few bottles in the fridge for sure!

If I propose anything to you guys over the festive season blame it on the alcohol!
