Re: So life goes on...

Wishing you well Susan, and lovely post so positive, I think people at that age can grow together or apart and it is up to them to chose which they do. So they have as good a chance as anyone else to make a happy secure marriage. Blessings to them both in their new lives together.

Re: So life goes on...

I was married at 22 and Dianne was 19. Looking back on it now, it feels frighteningly young, though then it seemed right. At least we both had jobs and our own house. I'd have been very worried if any of my family had wanted to marry at 17, but I do wish the young couple all the best.

Good luck with the Chemo Susan.
I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the wedding, like yourself and Jim we got married very young and never looked back, pulling together through the rough and smooth strengthens the bond I think, I wish the couple health and happiness together.

You are right Jem, it is all about working through the rough and enjoying the smooth.

There were many times during our marriage that people would have said "enough is enough" and divorced, but we didn't and in the end things worked out and the last 10 years of our lives were trouble free.

I just wish we had enjoyed them more. That was my only advice to Kayleigh - to enjoy every day and if you want a holiday - HAVE A HOLIDAY.

Don't put it off, because you never know what will happen.

Jim and I had planned to move to Canada permanently in 2017, thinking we could wait a few more years... If only we had gone in 2010 when the thought first occurred we could have had 5 years relaxing, and who knows maybe it would have helped Jim's health and he wouldn't have died so soon.

Ah well, it's all "shoulda, woulda, coulda" now.
