My Mum always considered it being able to drink like a fish and not let it be visible. Me? Oh well we won't go there. I kind of hate the "lady" pose. I can hold the door open for a gentleman, lift more than my body weight if needed, stay cool in critical situations check. Really, I'll even pull the car over to keep him from limping through the rain...define lady.

A lady is basically someone who has good manners .
A gentleman is the same .

Having read all the posts on this thread I have decided that "Lady" is just a word and we all have our own definition for it. I think that means that any woman can be a lady, providing she has the qualities that you are looking for.

Now then, it seems Gentlemen are defined by acts like opening doors, walking on the outside of a path, giving up your seat, or carrying bags Etc.

So what does a lady do for her male counterpart ?

She is equally polite to him .
