Doesn't time fly

Where did October go? It doesn't seem 5 minutes since it was 1st October, and now October's gone already. I can hardly believe it's November on Sunday. We have another Friday 13th in November too, but that never bothers me.

I read somewhere, but can't remember where, that it is not our imagination that time is flying by so quickly, it's because the earth is actually spinning faster now. Is that true?

It will be my birthday soon, yet it doesn't seem a year ago since the last one!

Do you think time is whizzing past?

Mups, at which phase of life do you consider time to be the Standard Measure.

I donīt know about the earth spinning faster Mups but the time certainly does seem to go quickly. Another birthday for me too in November and also more than a few of my friends, must be a popular month. I share mine with Prince Charles, arenīt I the lucky one

As we approach senility, I think our lack of awareness and fading memory makes time appear to go faster. Talking from experience here.

Re the world spinning faster. I had the same theory in the '60s. Right after snacking on mushrooms. Quite magical, it was.

I'm convinced there are a couple of days in the year when time slows down
I won't be told otherwise - convinced I am ................

It scares the hell of out me how quickly the months are speeding by and there is nothing we can do to slow it down..........why does it seem to go so fast now to when we were young?

Re: Doesn't time fly

I read recently that time appears to go faster when we're older because we do fewer things that are interesting enough to make memories of. We should fill it with new experiences rather than sit watching T.V or reading apparently. Hmmm... I can't believe it's Saturday already.

I used to think it was only as got older that we began to think how time flies by, but even my daughters are saying the same now.
