In order to obtain a British passport you have to send in birth certificates.
The children all had British passports there is no need for future identification .
This happened to someone I knew retired couple traveling with their mixed race grandchild thought the states .
The child was asked if he knew the grandparents .
The British passport with his name ( the same as the grandparents ) ignored .
