Good for him.

I do wonder if that recent BBC survey is leading up to kicking the licence into touch and replacing it with a subscription.

I think the Brussels Bullshit Corporation shot themselves in the foot when they decided to stop free licences for old people.
They really stirred people up.

Re: The end of TV licences

The BBC has decided to stop pushing over 75s to pay for their TV licences.

So, those who have paid will not be refunded, but those who don't pay will not be chased up!

That's fair?

More fool the payers?

Sounds like someone in charge is desperate to try to restore some public support for their organisation.

A bit late now, I think.

That's always the way here isn't it. All the things that are wrong continue until it is too late to put them right. It's a bit like when Councils suddenly realise that the high street shops have disappeared because of parking fees and over zealous wardens. It takes them years to realise that what the ordinary, little people are saying is true. Same with the BBC.

They live in their own world. A different one to the rest of us.

Just think how good it would be if MPs were 'ordinary little people' with a few of the 'more clever people' (civil servants?) working out the finances of it all, as prioritised and decided by those 'ordinary little people'!

Exactly. Maybe they start off 'little's but their egos grow rapidly.

Yes, could well be and they are probably 'fed' on luxury 'diets' so promoting rapid growth!
