Time Travel

If time travel was possible, what time would you like to travel to and why? What would you like to achieve (if anything)? Would you choose to be a participant or an observer?

I certainly wouldn't want to travel back in time, I am a here and now person, the past has gone. I am not sure if I want to travel into the future either, if it meant looking at what is to come.

What about if it gave you the chance to change a course of events that would have a negative impact (also bearing in mind the butterfly effect of course) - would you choose to attempt a change or leave things as they are? What about a peek at your favourite time in history? I should add - you can travel back as and when you want, you won't be stuck there!

I am quite happy where I am today, Ben-Varney! Although, perhaps I would like to go back to when I had my family around me, especially my beloved big brother!

That puts me to shame Brandy - I'd go back to the era I'm fascinated by - medieval England. I should have thought the same as you and gone back to spend special time with those who have departed.

I have often thought I should have been born in an earlier time, better music and people seemed to have manners we have lost these days. Born in the early 60's my childhood was among polite people who didn't swear especially in front of women and children. Possibly the late 40's and 50's would have suited me better.

Quite like the idea of going back pre mobile phones and computers too. Could live without a TV as well.

Yes only things I would miss are my dyson and my washing machine and dryer.

The late 50's thru 60's for me - just love that era...This time - I would make sure I went to see 'Frank' in Las Vegas

Julie - would you travel back to those times to see if your perception of them is accurate - and if it was, would you stay or return to your own time?

Would you stay or would you go (there's a song in that somewhere ) or would you keep hopping back for some different fun or would it be just a one-off visit?
