Re: Are you alone this Christmas?

Well now, this is a fine looking group!

Kazz, it's a shame that this is a tough time for you and your extended family. I hope that each of you can find some peace and strength as they work through things.

Silver Tabby, I know how you feel about your cats. With four dogs, not only are you not alone, it's often about as peaceful as living with a house of toddlers!

Then again, there was the year my siblings and I converged at my parents' house, bringing eleven dogs moving through the house like tornadoes, sucking Christmas trees, gift wrapped presents, ornaments, and anything within reach into their collective vortex.

Maybe a relatively quiet Christmas isn't such a bad thing after all .

Re: Are you alone this Christmas?

Morning all, just back from taking my cat Millie for a walk, very mild up here in Edinburgh.
I think I will watch a couple of films on Netflix, UK TV is a dire as one comes to expect these days, before getting myself into the kitchen to prepare my Christmas dinner.

Merry Christmas everybody, I hope that you all have a lovely time.

Mr Fraggle I think I have fallen in love with Millie and I am sure she will keep you company today. If she decides to go for a snooze, you can always pop in here for a chat.

I have just had her out for another walk, or rather she tend to follow me when she sees/hears my coat going on, had to go for milk and my local Asian shop did not open until 9 am.
She'll do some serious sleeping now and I will do some serious PC gaming or may have a vodka or two, but with little taste buds left I have difficulty mixing it with something I can taste, going to try ginger beer and see how that goes.

Merry Christmas to you.

Re: Are you alone this Christmas?

Good Morning everybody, and HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!

I live in a collection of low flats & maisonettes, and most of us live on our own
However, we all get on very well, and I'm just about to leave for visiting, a sort of travelling Christmas day - drinks here; snacks & nibbles there, sweet & savoury, with various neighbours, and I'll be taking my contributions. So it's more like a buffet than a proper sit down Christmas Dinner, but it suits us
We've all had families and done the whole Christmas thing in the past; now we can please ourselves

I love cats, so please give Millie a tickle from me.

Ginger beer sounds like a good idea, so i hope you enjoy it. Have a lovely day with you beautiful furry companion.
