Me? Money? I am careful. Indeed we both are. We spend on what we need rather than what we like.

Do we wish we had more? Of course we do! Why ever not - doesn't everybody.?

I am not tight with money at all. No matter how much you have, you get by.
I will share half of what I have with my children, a win at the casino, or money not earned. What good is money if you can't share it?

I learned as a young adult if you have people around you to keep you happy, you can survive on an onion and ketchup sandwich for Thanksgiving. True story.....

Contrary to popular belief, vis a vis Yorkshire Folk, I'm quite generous and help the family out financially when they need it. As for me, although I could afford to by something, I always manage to talk myself out of getting it thinking, do I really need it? It's because of my upbringing when the family didn't have money to spare.

Other than normal food, etc shopping, we only ever buy things on a need basis. Even then, we have to be able to justify the purchase to each other and we save for it rather than going down the rocky road of personal loans.

I'm generous - always have been.

When I was little, if somebody gave me 6d to buy some sweets I'd always buy some for my friends as well.

In adult life, I found some people took advantage of my generosity but once I realised this I wasn't generous towards that particular person anymore..

Financially astute. I don't understand people who are tight. Particularly if they are tight with themselves too and live in squalor while they have a pile of dough in the bank.

"Careful" might be the best description.

What we've got will have to last a good few years yet all being well so a sensible budget is a must, but that doesn't mean that there isn't a little bit in the kitty for an odd "splurge" and we certainly don't go without.

The children are already well provided for.

I'm careful (read:tight) Mr P is generous. Its bust and boom with us, but we get by alright.
