AP has called Arizona's 11 votes for Biden while other news organisations regard the race as still too close to call

JOE BIDEN 264

DONALD TRUMP 214

Hi

The American Voting system is very different to that here in the UK.

It is difficult to understand.

US sees record daily coronavirus infections

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/elec...-2020-54786937

You'd be forgiven for briefly forgetting the scourge of 2020 amid all this uncertainty - but on Thursday the US reported a record daily rise in coronavirus cases, with more than 120,000 new infections.

That breaks the previous record set just a day earlier on Wednesday.

America is the worst-affected nation in the world, with more than 9,600,000 cases and more than 234,000 deaths, according to tallies by Johns Hopkins University.

Hopefully, with a few more flushes, The Orange Turd will be gone for good. We can only wait and see! It's definitely more entertaining than anything on Netflix at the moment. It's great when you can watch from the outside while enjoying a hearty portion of popcorn.

Joe Biden has taken a dramatic late lead in the vote count for Georgia, having trailed president Donald Trump in the crucial swing state since polls closed on election day.

Mr Biden went ahead by a margin of 917 votes at 4.30am local time, according to the Associated Press, with more than 99 per cent of the vote counted.

Trump is going to be a very bad loser.
He is not the sort of man who can take humiliation.
His poor wife.

Things are going to get really nasty after this election. Especially if as predicted Trump loses.

It certainly is, and very protracted.

I also don't understand the significance of those Electoral Votes. Whose votes are they, and why do they seem to count more than the ordinary people's votes?

Worth knowing: Recount rules in Georgia

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/elec...-2020-54786937

As counting in crucial Georgia gives a very narrow lead to Joe Biden, it's worth noting the state's recount rules:

The losing candidate, whoever that might be, is allowed to request a recount if the margin is under 0.5% of the total vote. The request must be made within two days of the state certifying the vote.

Current figures put Joe Biden on about 49.39% compared to 49.37% for Donald Trump, with around 99% of ballots counted.
A call for recount would be a natural Trump tactical delay .....
