We know Islamic terrorist come from Pakistan and the Pakistani community .
Forget civil rights for these people time to think of the civil rights of the innocent people on the street .
Apparently he was involved with setting up some sort of training school for terrorists in Pakistan and then returned to this country with clear intentions!!!!!! Beggars belief that he could ever be thought of as "safe" - reformed and let back on the streets. There is no reasoning with these people and the only thing is to deal with them as the rabid beings that they are. They do no favours to other peaceful muslims and are also traitors to their own race.

I was thinking more for suspects....just kick them out and their families ...I think when they actually carry out atrocities we should lock them up and throw away the key and their families should not be supported either.

It's telling that in the article he mentions that his terrorist trainees can still claim job seekers allowance even whilst they are in Pakistan ...that's more money in a week than Pakistanis earn in a month....so we fund terrorist training. It's just daft.

I agree .
He was jailed for a serious plot to blow up the London stock Exchange and the Houses of Parliament.
If successful this would have caused the death of hundreds of people and they let him out in just under about eight years .

I can't believe that any decent person doesn't believe that any act of violence, by a terrorist, should not result in his death!

That is why they will never give a referendum on Capital Punishment because even the most dense politician know it would be overwhelmingly for !

The justice system has failed fatally in this case.
Initially he was given an indeterminate sentence .
The original indeterminate sentence ( brought in by David Blunkett) was over turned by the Tory government .

As you will know Summer, in this country suspects are innocent until proven guilty, but once proven guilty then IMO there should be no reprieve, no half sentence for these sort of crimes. Once they have taken lives, there really is no other answer but to "get rid" of them by executing them. We are far too soft in this country. The pendulum has swung too far one way and are taken advantage of at every turn. The system is totally exploited by folks who learn how to do it and have no conscience. Apart from the lives they take the and chaos caused there is the financial burden as well. Once they have stepped over the line, IMO they really should pay with their lives for everyone's sake.

Trouble is Aerolor, in America they can expect the death penalty but they still do it....These people have no respect for life including their own. They would be hailed a hero in their own ranks.

Not if it was always carried out.
The trouble is appeals etc .
If the sentence is unequivocal it is a deterrent and at the very least they will not be able to repeat the offence .

Indefinite detention, deportation or death penalty, for terrorists.

He was invited to speak!

Khan was secretly recorded talking about his plans, adding there were only three possible outcomes for him and his fellow jihadists: victory, martyrdom or prison.
