I don't know anyone who says "enn." It's always been "onn"velope round here!Re: On-velope? Or enn-velope?
It is strange though how different pronunciations become common usage in different areas. I grew up in a very working class council estate which was as "basic" as it got and we all used "scone" and "onvelope" and regarded anyone who said "sconn" as well posh. We didn't have an opinion on "Ennvelope" as no-one ever said it that way.
