I remember different strokes, the usual suspects. some keyed up individuals at an early age, turning into some middle aged misfits, and bucking the trend.

Re: Leisurely Scribbles (part 5)

Can’t say I’ve every seen “Brush Strokes” Gummy, it’ll probably turn up on “Talking Pictures” the oldies channel sometime, they show a lot of 60’s 70’s serials, “The Rogues” and “For the Love of Ada” are currently running on it.

Ah yes the good old Yangtze River, brings me back to my China days and the many smuggling trips I had on that lovely river.

We were sailing down the Yangtze River, in a Junk comprised of wood
Me timbers they never did shiver, at the wheel I bravely stood.

We woz smuggling goods from China, Jimmy Wang, Philly, and me
That Wang had his eye on Philly, was plain for all to see.

He tried it on at Dragon’s pass, hoping I wouldn’t notice
Foolish man was he, for his head was soon in a poultice.

My cargo was China and Jade, all safely below in the hold
Then I gave Wang a clip round the earhole, for fiddling with the load.

He picked up a wrench in anger, and raised it above his head
But I kicked him hard in the growlers, and now the bugger is dead.

Re: Leisurely Scribbles (part 5)

I will be away for a couple of days next week, I'm off to South America, to judge the Rhea of the Year competition!

Sorry, I've "cracked" that one before, but its one of my favourites, I mean, what's this thread for if not self indulgence.

A Rhea, is a flightless Bird, a Birds Rear is something else.
